Join a study to help further research on improving brain function and balance control in individuals living with type 2 diabetes OR Alzheimer's disease!
Did you know that age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's and type 2 diabetes can affect your ability to walk and stand? Our researchers want to better understand the relationship between brain function and balance in order to find better treatments.

If you enroll in this study, you will participate in a series of standing, walking, and balance exercises as well as brain stimulation sessions. By participating in our research, you are helping researchers find better treatments to improve the brain function and balance of adults with age-related diseases. Why is this study being done?
The purpose of this study is to observe how brain stimulation effects brain function and balance in hopes of improving balance and posture in older adults with age related diseases including Alzheimer's disease and type 2 diabetes.
Is this study for me?
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • 65+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with Dementia, Alzheimer's disease or type 2 Diabetes
What will happen if I participate in the study?
Participation will involve the following: a screening visit, a series of standing, walking, and balance exercises, brain function testing, and a total of 11 days of brain stimulation sessions.
Will I be paid for being in this research study?
Compensation is provided for participation in this study.
Will it cost me anything to participate in this study?
There is no cost for you to participate in our research program.
