Study Background
The goal of our study is to determine if progesterone can help women to quit smoking or stay smoke-free postpartum.

Ultimately we hope to reduce secondhand smoke exposure to women and their families.

The FDA-approved medication progesterone is a naturally occurring hormone that increases during pregnancy, and then drops after childbirth. Higher hormone levels seem to help women quit smoking and stay smoke-free.
