Do you smoke marijuana? Are you thinking about quitting or cutting back? We want to help.

MUSC is currently conducting a confidential research study to determine if a medication can help frequent marijuana smokers reduce their use. Participants will receive study medication and care at no cost plus up to approximately $1210 in compensation for time and travel.

If you smoke regularly and want to cut down or quit, you may be eligible for this study. Participation is confidential.

Our goal is to determine if an investigational medication can help frequent marijuana smokers reduce their use.
Is this study for me?
You may qualify for our study if you meet the following criteria.

Key Criteria:
  • 18 years and older
  • Smoke cannabis 3 or more times weekly
  • Interested in quitting or reducing cannabis use
What will happen if I participate in the study?
Participation in the study will take 15 visits over a period of approximately three months.
Will I be paid for being in this research study?
You will be compensated up to approximately $1210 for your participation.
Will it cost me anything to participate in this study?
There is no cost to participate in our research study.
