Have you had a serious problem with opioid use in the past? Have you been abstinent for at least the last month?
Congratulations on your sobriety. You may be eligible to join a McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School research study.
Researchers are studying the types of life experiences, clinical conditions, and brain differences that can lead to opioid abuse in order to better prevent and treat this critical problem.

Additional Information
Our goal is to learn more about how brain & opioid use are correlated. We are particularly interested in brain changes associated with increased risk.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

- Medically healthy
- 20-65 years old
- Have had a history of opioid abuse
- Recently abstinent from opioid use (at least 30 days) and are not on opioid maintenance management.
- You must be unmedicated except for birth control pills, thyroid hormone, prn use of albuterol inhaler, or non-sedating antihistamines and medications for ADHD.
This is a two-visit study which takes place on the grounds of McLean Hospital located in Belmont Massachusetts.

You can earn up to $365 for your participation in our research study.
