Researchers believe that exercise may help prevent cancer recurrence.
Exercise might be a game-changer in ensuring your cancer doesn't come back!

Our research team is studying the effects of exercise on cancer recurrence. This 15-week program will include a screening, frequent exercise sessions, and 4 visits. Participants will also receive 6-7 months of free training provided by cancer exercise specialists. Participants will also receive a free fitness tracker.

Why is this study being done?
Exercise has been known to decrease the risk of recurrence for breast, prostrate, and colorectal cancer. This study will help researchers identify some of the different effects of exercise in previous cancer patients of different weights and sizes.
Is this study for me?
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Are between the ages of 21 and 79
  • Have a prior breast, prostate, or colorectal cancer diagnosis
  • Completed cancer treatment over 6 months ago and less than 5 years ago
  • Not taking any hormonal therapy
  • Willing and able to participate in a 15 week exercise program
  • Willing and able to come to the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at least 2 times per week
What will happen if I participate in the study?
You will participate in a 15-week aerobic exercise program with support from a cancer exercise specialist. A BfitBwell assessment will be done multiple times through out the program. You will have 4 visits some of which involve bone density scans, fasting and blood draws. You will be expected to come to the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at least 2 times per week.

You will receive an activity tracker and be able to utilize your BfitBwell enrollment 6-7 months after program completion free of cost.
Will I be paid for being in this research study?
You will receive 6-7 months of BfitBwell after program completion free of cost. You will also receive a free fitness tracker.
Will it cost me anything to participate in this study?
There is no cost for you to participate in our research program.
