Psoriasis is a largely treatable but misunderstood condition. Over 7.5 million people in the USA struggle with the condition today and the condition can lead to additional comorbidities.

Researchers are investigating an FDA-approved biologic medication, Tremfya, and its ability to lead to remission and quality of life improvements in patients with plaque or guttate psoriasis.

Why is this study being done?
This study is looking at how treatment with an FDA-approved biologic medication, Tremfya, can lead to remission and quality of life improvements in patients with plaque or guttate psoriasis.
Is this study for me?
You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria.

Criteria:
  • Are over 18 years of age.
  • Diagnosis of guttate or plaque psoriasis
  • Affected by condition in more than 5% of your body
  • Do not have a history of active, chronic, or recurrent infectious disease, including HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
  • Do not have known allergies, hypersensitivity, or intolerance to guselkumab (Tremfya)
  • If female: are not pregnant, nursing, or planning a pregnancy while enrolled in the study (96 weeks)
What will happen if I participate in the study?
In the study, you will be treated with guselkumab, also known as Tremfya, for up to 96 weeks. Study visits will occur every 1-2 months. During the study visits, questionnaires, photographs, throat cultures, and skin samples may be taken.

Prior to the screening visit, we would go through the consent form with you, which fully describes the study along with its benefits and risks. We anticipate the consent and screening visit to take around an hour and the research visits to take about 1-2 hours.
Will I be paid for being in this research study?
Compensation is provided for participation in this study.
Will it cost me anything to participate in this study?
There is no cost for the study medicine or study tests.
