Study Background
Participate in a compensated research study that will help Johns Hopkins researchers test a new type of vaccine for COVID-19.
Healthy adult volunteers ages 18-50 are needed to test the safety, tolerability, and immune response of an intra-nasal COVID-19 vaccine. Intra-nasal means the vaccine will be taken as a spray in the nose, like a flu vaccine you may have gotten, and no needles are involved.

This study aims to test the safety, immunogenicity, and tolerability of an intra-nasal COVID-19 vaccine.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:
- Generally good health
- 18–50 years old
Exclusion Criteria:
- Tested positive for COVID-19 or had a COVID-19 vaccine or booster in the past 16 weeks
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Significant medical conditions
- Cognitive impairment or psychiatric disease that would interfere with your ability to understand and comply with study protocol
- History of asthma in the past 5 years
- Current diagnosis of asthma, reactive airway disease, seasonal hay fever, allergic rhinitis
- Current substance abuse or addiction
- BMI less than 18.5 or greater than 37.5
- Positive for HIV, HCV, or HBsAg
- Known immunodeficiency syndrome
- History of Bell's palsy
If eligible, participation will include 2 screening visits, 2 vaccination visits, and 11 follow-up visits over a one-year period.
You will be compensated up to $1,950 for your participation.
